Egypt has implemented a full pre-clearance model e‑invoicing system for VAT-registered companies, rolled out in stages from mid‑2022 and fully mandatory by April 1, 2023. It covers B2G, B2B, and B2C transactions.

Mandatory using HSM or USB token device certified by ETA.
